Carr Junior School is rooted in the heart of its catchment area in Acomb, York. The Carr team is dedicated in ensuring their ‘Carr Stars’ can aim high, by developing a life-long love of learning and shine bright, by nurturing and celebrating their unique personalities. As well as a core focus on academic achievement, the school is also highly focussed on bringing additional extra-curricular learning to pupils through exciting and innovative opportunities.
This includes the opening of a magical library thanks to the fundraising efforts and generosity of its community. Bookend Cottage provides an enchanting, serene space where children can lose themselves in the power of a good book – and all within a converted London bus.
